Chess in Snodland & the Malling villages

Snodland Chess Club meets on Monday evenings at the Cricket Pavilion on Rocfort Road, and fields teams in the Kent county leagues. It’s the local board for the Medway Gap — Snodland itself, West Malling, Aylesford, Larkfield, Halling and the villages between Maidstone and Rochester.

If Monday doesn’t suit

Snodland sits in the middle of a busy chess triangle, so the rest of the week is close at hand:

• Maidstone — two clubs, Wednesdays and Thursdays, ten minutes south.
• Medway — two clubs on Wednesdays, ten minutes north.
• Gravesend — Tuesdays at the Waterloo Tavern.
