Chess in Sittingbourne

Swale Chess Club meets on Thursday evenings in the Artisan Room at Central House, right in the middle of Sittingbourne. It serves the whole Swale area — Sittingbourne, Faversham and the Isle of Sheppey — caters for everyone from young to old and novice to expert, runs its own junior division, and fields teams in the Kent county leagues. New members are always welcome.

If Thursday doesn’t suit

• Medway — two clubs on Wednesdays, down the A2 west.
• Maidstone — two clubs, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
